Welcome to the brand new “Take Five – Melbourne Showcases”! A unique concert series designed to celebrate and promote the eclectic and world class culture of improvisers and creative artists based in Melbourne.

ABOUT:
Every month, we’ll bring you 5 of Australia’s most renowned and distinguished jazz artists (of the same instrument) and put them all together in one very special performance.

There’s no rehearsal, no preparation but instead our guests will perform a number of standards each and all come together for a final jam at the end of the evening.

Accompanied by an incredible house band (Darrin Archer – piano, Ben Robertson – bass, Luke Andresen – drums) – these nights have been designed by the scene for the scene.
