Kamban Kazhagam Australia, cordially invites you to “AADAL VELVI 2018” – A Bharatanatya exposition by ‘Nrityachoodamani’ Priyadarsini Govind.

Following the success of “Isai Velvi” in 2017, an event where we hosted world renowned Carnatic vocalist “Bombay” Jayashri Ramnath, we are excited to announce this year’s initiative “Aadal Velvi.”

Aadal Velvi is an extension of the Kamban Kazhagam brand. It aims to promote Indian Classical Arts through exciting and accessible concerts for the entire Australian Community, specifically through Indian Classical dance, Bharathanatyam.

This year Kamban Kazhagam Australia will play host to one of the foremost Bharatanatyam dancers in the world today, Priyadarsini Govind.

Priyadarsini Govind’s unique blend of new choreography and tradition has seen her tour extensively in India and all around all the world. She has given performances in over 35 international festivals, 22 international concerts and all major cities in India.

Aadal Velvi 2018 marks Priyadarsini Govind’s second concert in Australia, 10 years after her highly acclaimed tour in 2008.

We trust her much anticipated return to Australian shores will be a treat for art and dance enthusiasts alike!

Further, your invaluable support to this event will play a vital role in energising the numerous voluntary activities that host throughout the year to propogate Tamil language and literature in Australia.
