Adelaide Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav 2018, 15th-16th September

Adelaide Sarvajanic Ganeshotsav Samitee Inc. welcomes you to the 7th anniversary of Ganeshotsav celebrations in Adelaide.

Ganeshotsav dates back to the pre-independence of India, where people were prohibited from gathering in large numbers.

‘Sarvajanik’ Ganeshotsav was then created as a celebration that would act to unite people from diverse backgrounds and enhance their sense of belonging.

Adelaide’s Indian community rallied together in 2012 to begin the tradition of a Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav here in South Australia.

Over the years, we have seen many unique and exciting performances from actors, singers and dancers in our talented local Indian-Australian community as well from interstate.

We are extremely excited as we prepare for Adelaidecha Raja – Ganpati Bappa’s arrival this year, as we are planning a thrilling weekend of festivities.

We welcome you, your family and friends to this wonderful occasion and look forward to celebrating with you all. Like last year, proceeds raised from the 2 days of celebrations will go to charity(s),
