Akasha furniture was founded in the 1980's with the first shop being located in the Brisbane Queens Arcade, where the Myer building now stands. Business grew steadily and a regular clientele of local and interstate customers was developed. Over the years they have opened a number of rug stores, and later after much consideration and market research, the move to combine rugs and furniture was made and thud Akasha Furniture and Homewares was born. Today, we have furniture and rug stores in Queensland, located in Maroochydore at the Sunshine Coast.
