The TAPAS Academy is a prominent Bharathnatyam institution with a well established pedagogy in the Kalakshetra bani, founded by Acharya Mahalakshmi Ashwin.

TAPAS's main branch is based in Chennai with subsidiaries in Canada and now launching in Australia under the tutelage of Swapna R Shankar, with the support and blessings of her guru Mahalakshmi Ashwin.
