Clowns, Pagan and Antibodies in Nimbin, 3rd September 2017
Fri Sept 1. 7.30pm.
$20 Entry
Clowns are back, last time they were in town they were supporting The Bennies, but now their time has come to headline their own gig at the Nimbin Bush Theatre.
Clowns are punk. They are loud, and they rock! This is the hardest working band in Australia. If you like high energy punk to mosh to then this is the band for you.
Riding the wave of the punk revival happening across Australia The Clowns are an authentic punk rock band with energy to burn and are making an impact around the world with their uniquely Australian metal punk sound.
Playing huge punk rock festivals in Europe to over 50,000 people such as Ruhrpott Rodeo. Take the Saints and put them in a blender with Van Halen, Black Flag and The Hard Ons and you may get an idea of how The Clowns sound.
It is high energy music played with passion and commitment and a pure punk attitude. Vocalist Stevie Williams has the pipes to wail and screech and a front man attitude that gets every crowd going.
He keeps up the pace with some truly awesome lead guitar work played by Rod Goon and Will Robinson.
The rhythm section Jake Laderman ( drums) and Hanny J (bass/vocals) must be the fittest 2 musicians in the country as they can keep the frenetic pace going with grunt and aplomb.
Clowns have been touring extensively overseas to huge venues and punk/rock festivals and are spreading the punk gospel with them, and now it’s Nimbin’s turn.
The Punks will be supported by Melbourne based Pagan, who play a metal-punk-rock filled with saucy riffs, shredding bass and aggressive howling vocals creating blast beats that will get your heart pounding and your feet jumping.
The band describe their sound as “death rock’n’roll”, they also describe themselves as “Real-Life/Pretend Vampires playing Real-Life/Pretend Rock and Roll”, obviously Pagan have a sense of humour but they definitely take punk-rock seriously.
Crawling out of the lantana to open the night will be the primal howl that is Nimbin’s own Antibodies, rocking out with their distinctive brand of north coast feral pop-punk.
Lovers of Punk rejoice for The Nimbin Bush Theatre is offering you 3 great punk rock acts in one night, get ready to mosh and stage dive, as the Auditorium comes alive with the glorious sounds of raw, committed punk.
The Phoenix Rising cafe will be open with meals and soft drinks and coffee. BYO.
