Dr Abhishek Sharma Ophthalmologist
Dr Abhishek Sharma is an Australian-trained ophthalmologist who works at the recently expanded Queensland Eye Institute facility. He operates at the modern and advanced South Bank Day Hospital for private patients, with the latest micro-incision vitrectomy surgery equipment. He is also a Consultant VMO Vitreoretinal Surgeon with the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (RBWH), Queensland Health.
Dr Sharma has trained in Melbourne, UK and Canada, and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (RANZCO). He has extensive sub-specialist training to look after your medical and surgical retinal conditions.
Eye surgeon – Laser, injectable and surgical treatments for eye conditions such as Cataracts, macular degeneration, diabetes, macular holes and epiretinal membranes, retinal detachments, and all other retinal conditions.
Emergency care for certain conditions can be provided on same day at Queensland Eye Institute private clinic, or at day surgery at the private South Bank Day Hospital in same location, or at local private hospitals after-hours.
