Dr Archana Kothari

Dr Archana Kothari graduated in medicine in 1993 and treasured her experiences working in India and for the Singaporean government before moving to Australia in 2005. Recently Archana was a valued member of the medical team at a Burleigh Waters practice on the Gold Coast. Dr Kothari has had experience in treating patients from all socio-economic strata and has worked in corporate medicine in varied fields including emergency medicine, occupational health and the blood bank.

Dr Kothari completed her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2008 before qualifying as a certified medical examiner in Aviation Medicine. Dr Kothari is licensed to as an Aviation Medical examiner for the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA). Archana has advanced training in mental health which allows her to access all of the services available through the Health Insurance Commission (Medicare).

Dr Archana Kothari’s special interests include chronic disease management, women’s health, mental health and aviation medicine.

Dr Kothari enjoys spending time with her husband who is also a general practitioner and her adult daughter who works as a doctor at the Royal Brisbane Hospital. Archana keeps herself fit with her other interests include dancing and kayaking.
