Dr Avi graduated from the University of Health Sciences, India, and worked in the Indian health system for four years. He worked in the United Kingdom NHS Hospital for five years with training in general medicine and gained his full registration with the General Medical Council, London UK in 2000. He worked in Emergency Medicine in Sydney West Area Health and Orange Base Hospital. He also worked in child and adolescent mental health in Orange Base Hospital. Dr Avi’s areas of general interests are elderly care medicine, hypertension, heart disease, asthma & emphysema & also paediatrics. He is married to Genevieve and has a baby daughter. He has lived in Bathurst for the past four years.
