After completing her MBBS, Dr Rashid persued her area of interest, completing a two year diploma in opthalmology at the prestigious Aravind Eye Institute in India.

Following her emigration to Australia, she worked for a time in emergency medicine and family medicine, before going on to join the Department of Breast and Endocrine Surgery at Westmead Hospital.

In her spare time, Hajara enjoys baking and gardening.
