Dr Himani Kariyawasam has extensive experience in Medical Practice providing long term care for her patients. She holds the fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners ( FRACGP ), PhD in Pharmacology from UK and MBBS from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka. She is a medical educator and been an academic in Australia, UK and Sri Lanka. She is interested in all aspects of general practice and especially chronic diseases; diabetes mellitus, weight management, mental health, women's health, antenatal care and smoking cessation. She is a GP accredited for providing focal psychological strategies.

Dr Kariyawasam enjoys travelling and experiencing different cultures and nature.
