Dr Lad's Surgery

Situated in the southern Tasmanian suburb of Blackmans Bay, Dr Lad's Surgery is a Family Medical Practice offering high quality medical care to the community of Blackmans Bay and surrounding areas, including Kingston, Maranoa Heights and Huntingfield.

Dr Ulhas Lad and his wife, Dr Geeta Lad, provide comprehensive Family Medical Care five days a week.

Dr Lad's Surgery is Fully Accredited by AGPAL. Accreditation is a new process to Australian General Practice, certifying that medical practices are equipped and work to nationally determined standards.

Dr Lad's Surgery is a fully accredited General Practice.

Our practice provides comprehensive family medical service which includes:

• Regular medical check-ups
• Family planning advice
• Pap smears
• Pregnancy tests
• Childhood immunisation
• Travel vaccination and advice, and
• Liquid nitrogen freezing therapy for sun spots and warts

Our practice also renders other services such as:

• Full medical examination for professional divers
• Treatment for workers’ compensation injuries
• Preventive care, such as Heart Care for prevention of heart disease and Bone Care study for prevention of osteoporosis, and,
• Enhanced Primary Care to the elderly patients.

We also treat casualty patients with cuts for stitching, burns dressings, reduction of simple fractures and application of plasters.
