Born and raised in England where he completed his undergraduate and post graduate training, Dr Maher now lives locally on the Sunshine Coast and enjoys the outdoors lifestyle, particularly mountain biking, surfing and amateur track days with his car.
Dr Maher is a friendly GP who practices holistically by treating the whole person, considering physical, emotional and social factors, rather than just the symptoms of a disease. He enjoys family medicine and getting to know his patients.
Dr Maher also has a special interest in skin, with a Diploma with Merit from Queen Mary's University, as well as musculoskeletal medicine and working in Orthopaedics and General Surgery, after completing his General Practitioner Training. He has also completed the RACGP joint injection course.
