Prior to studying medicine, Dr Mohan was a Combat Medic in the Singapore Armed Forces and completed medical tours to India and South Africa. He was also involved in humanitarian relief efforts in Timor-Leste. Dr. Mohan moved to Sydney and completed his medical education at the University of New South Wales, graduating in 2013 and completed his internship at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. He spent some years working in Emergency at Westmead and Bankstown Hospitals before moving to Port Macquarie to complete his GP training. Dr. Mohan was recognised for his work in the region by being awarded the NSW North Coast Registrar of the Year in 2018.
