Dr Shikha Gray is a registered psychologist who works with individuals and couples. She provides non-judgmental and compassionate psychological therapy using evidence-based approaches. 

Sessions with Shikha are eligible for Medicare subsidies if there is a GP referral and Mental Health Care Plan in place.

SERVICES:

Shikha consults with both individuals and couples.

Individuals: psychological support for anxiety, depression, relationship and family problems, trauma, health problems (e.g. diabetes), grief and loss, and difficulties with self-image, self-esteem and identity.

Couples: support to couples experiencing communication problems, emotional disconnection, intimacy issues, parenting challenges, and differences in personal hopes and wishes.

APPROACH:

Shikha is warm and nurturing in her approach to therapy.

Philosophically, she is influenced by existential and psychodynamic frameworks. In practice, she maintains a pragmatic view and tailors treatment to the preferences and needs of the individual or couple she is supporting.

Shikha is widely trained in a number of psychological modalities.

ABOUT:

Shikha is Indian born, moving to Australia at a young age. Her experience growing up between two worlds led to her special interest in supporting people facing difficulties with identity, isolation, sense of belonging and interracial relationships.

Shikha is fluent in Hindi.
