Looking for a painting class unlike any other? Enter the challenge of working with neon materials under blacklight! To help celebrate Blazing Swan’s Kraken: A Midwinter’s Blaze, we are bringing a little piece of the Rainbow Tribe to the Bather’s Beach Arts Precinct.
Join us for an evening of Glow Painting, fun and music! Paint your face, paint your body (or if you’re lucky, someone else’s).
Work on your own artwork or our large communal one. You’ll receive a glow in the dark cocktail and glow sticks to add to the illuminated atmosphere.

About the teacher: Shevy Hanson is an artist, teacher and the creative crusader behind Workshop Freo. She has studied Art and Design, Fine Art and Education at Curtin University and UNSW College of Fine Art.

She has taken part in solo and group exhibitions in Perth and Sydney. In art, as in life, she is all about colour, shape, form and fun.

For this workshop, Workshop Freo are collaborating with James Wick and Blazing Swan’s Rainbow Tribe! Rainbow Tribe is one of the theme camps at Blazing Swan, WA’s regional Burning Man event.

The group of artists and models meet up for body painting events, parties and photo shoots throughout the year.
Rainbow Tribe’s main event is their annual body art exhibition at Blazing Swan, which is a week-long celebration of art, fire and music.
