After releasing his stunning album Eons in 2015, Jim Lawrie – Melbourne’s finest purveyor of heartbroken folk-rock, returns with his new album Slacker of the Year via Barely Dressed Records and Remote Control.

As Jim describes, Slacker of the year is a collection of songs written by him over the course of 18 months, covering themes of major change in his life throughout this time.

Though technically it could be considered a break up album, its focus is more an exploration of new love rather than a dwelling on love lost.

After touring extensively in 2016, Jim returns to Northcote Social Club to shoot this album into the stratosphere in style with a full band show.
