Peace Mantras from the Heart of Sound Join Anandra and friends for a transformational evening of k?rtan! Experience refined Sanskrit mantra chanting set to Indian classical r?ga melodies. We’ll explore meditational vocal techniques, the living energy of Sanskrit sounds, and the co-creative power of community harmony joined with the ancient technologies of sound and mantra. As we align our hearts, thoughts, words, and musical deeds in a precisely-tuned celebration of peace, we become instruments for that resonance to reverberate through all the worlds! Saturday Workshop – Part 1 ~ 9-12:30 and Part 2 ~ 2-4:30 Sanskrit: The Body of Mantra Experience the 50 letter vibrations of the Sanskrit alphabet, which correlate to the 50 petals on the chakras, energy points (marmas) in the body, and the primary energies and elements of creation (?aktis and tattvas). Learn to chant the alphabet, using the 5 precise mouth positions for Sanskrit, which will enable you to pronounce any Sanskrit word accurately in the future. This is a small-group experiential learning with feedback and review with a teacher who specializes in helping people connect to the loving, living, subtle Sanskrit alphabet vibrations (especially to speakers of non-Indian languages). It will make a tangible impact on your passion for chanting! As both a singer and a mantra nerd, Anandra loves helping people find the ideal resonance of the sounds within them.
