Pink Turbans to Raise Money for Breast Cancer in Sydney
Two Indian Australians Gurman Singh and Manu Singh teamed up together and dressed up in pink turbans and pink traditional Indian Kurta Pajama’s to help support and raise funds for breast cancer patients.
Both men have been associated with the McGrath Foundation for the past five years and recently they teamed up with the NSW Police to raise money for breast cancer patients on day three of the Sydney test, they were seen chatting with TV presenters and the Prime Minister of Australia, Malcolm Turnbull.

Painted The Sydney Cricket Ground “PINK”
Both Indian Australians Gurman Singh and Manu Singh have made quite an impact on the Sydney Cricket grounds by filling the grounds with their pink cheer and splashes of pink colour!
Both men said that “It feels really great as it is more for the community’s awareness and that they support the McGrath foundation every year even if India isn’t playing” “Gurnman said that even if it is Sri Lanka playing or Pakistan or any other country, we come out to support”. “I think, now people in India also know what is McGrath Foundation”.

Police Officers Swapping Blue Caps For Pink Caps
Around 100 NSW police members joined in on the three day Sydney cricket match to help and assist breast cancer patients, they swapped their traditional blue caps for bright pink caps! They also graciously donated a day’s wages in donations for this special cause!

Fundraising For Breast Cancer Patients
The McGrath foundation was aiming to raise $390,000 during this year’s Pink test, they were very close to reaching their target as they were able to raise nearly $350,000 in donations. The McGrath foundation currently supports 177 breast care nurses around Australia and to date has supported more than 50,ooo families during their time of need and support.
Such a great team effort to all those involved in the Pink Cricket Test and to Gurman Singh and Manu Singh for supporting breast cancer and the McGrath foundation for the past five years!
