Another SANGEET MEHFIL “with a difference”!

Team Sangeet Mehfil is delighted to announce Saleem Zamaan’s 37th consecutive Annual Homage to legendary playback singer MOHAMMED RAFI SAAB on Saturday, 9th September 2017.

This year, we commemorate his romantic songs recorded for the one and only DEV ANAND Saheb, an evergreen Bollywood superstar who had a special place in the hearts of Indian Cinema lovers. Some of the most romantic music was introduced during this golden era.

This “double-tribute” is not to be missed if you are a fan of either of these two legends, or if you simply enjoy a quality presentation of professionally-rendered artiste performances, adorned with entertaining stories from the Rafi-Dev era, comfortable cinema-seating, an elite ambience at one of the most prestigious social clubs in Sydney, and free parking … all for just $20.

You also have the opportunity to enjoy a wide variety of delicious international cuisine after the concert, sold by classy restaurants at the venue.

Honouring the valuable feedback of friends/well-wishers, our effort this year has been to make the annual tribute affordable for one and all, to fulfil your song-requests, to provide a quality overall experience, and to make this evening nostalgic for all of us.

Farmaaish has been a unique tradition with Saleem’s concerts, ever since his first tribute to Rafi Saab in 1981 (India).

This feature had to be dropped in 2015 and 2016 to accommodate working with a local multicultural orchestra … it wouldn’t have been fair to them! To maintain this tradition of honouring the audience’s fond memories of Rafi Saab’s legacy, we have decided in 2017 to utilise the innumerable studio-recorded music tracks for the performance!

Feel free to request any song from the Rafi-Dev era, and we will endeavour to deliver as many as possible for your pleasure!
