Reclaim Your Energy Workshop in Melbourne, 21st – 13th August 2017
City: Melbourne
Dive deep into your practice with this one-month intensive course designed to make the primary series accessible and approachable for vinyasa practitioners.
Learn the primary series of ashtanga yoga in a small group setting with teacher Monica Aurora, a long-time practioner in the tradition and current student of the Shi Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Institute in Mysore, India.
You will learn to break down alignment in standing postures, deepen backbends, cultivate strength for arm balances and start a home practice with the support and guidance of the group and an experienced teacher.
The group will meet for three workshops each weekend over a 4-week period to strip back your practice and develop deeper strength and integration using the traditional system of Ashtanga yoga paired with targeted strength and flexibility sequences.
During this 4-week course you will uncover the mind to body connection and learn techniques of breath, meditation, ayurveda and asana that promote optimal wellbeing.
Whether you continue to practice ashtanga yoga after the month or not, this course will deepen your asana practice and broaden your understanding of the yoga tradition.
