Romeo and Juliet
RUSSIAN NATIONAL BALLET THEATRE
The forever romance, the hundred year classic, the most heart-warming dancing you will see this year.
The Russian National Ballet Theatre is coming back and this time they bring the world’s greatest classic ballet Romeo and Juliet.
The seamless choreographed by Evgeny Amosov based on the Prokofiev ballet in three Acts and classical music.
The Russian National Ballet Theatre will take the audience through the tradition of this tragic romance story. “For never was a story of more woe than this of Juliet and her Romeo” – William Shakespeare.
Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy about two young star-crossed lovers whose deaths ultimately reconcile their feuding families.
This dramatic ballet stays loyal to Shakespeare’s original tragic ending. The romantic pas de deux, taut fight scenes and the festive street dances will leave you awe-inspired.
The theatre was founded with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
The basis for the creation of the theatre was a necessity for promising young theatre with high creative potential, both classical and contemporary.
Today, the Russian National Ballet Theatre is on a creative upswing. Among the new productions are ballets of the classical repertory:” Swan Lake”, “Nutcracker”, “Sleeping Beauty”, “Don Quixote”, “Giselle”, “Romeo and Juliet”, a gala concert, as well as contemporary ballets composed by Mozart, Bach, Ravel and other composers.
