Soul Sangeeta in Sydney Indian Music Fusion Band.
After there successful Japan Tour….
World Music artist Shivam Rath on the 22 string Crystal Slide with international guest artist and Indian Classical Bansuri maestro Taro Terahara from Japan. Supporting them on drums is Sydney’s number 1 Tabla player from India Maharishi Raval.
Fusing indian classical music with a blend of realm shifting Rhythms and heart wrenching Ragas.
Joining vocally is Shivam’s wife Mico Sundari also from Japan who is a voice therapist and lover of Kirtana, sanskrit and devotional bhajans from around the world.
They base the music from traditional Classical system but once invoking the Raga into their music they soar into a world of their own creating a universal appeal for all audiences.
They are also running a musical yoga retreat for an immersion into the world of sound, meditation and intuitive invocation to music as a universal language @ Mangrove Mountain from the 8th of Sep.

Taro Terahara is one of the leading musicians in the thriving and highly competitive Indian classical music scene in Japan.
His initial training began from 1991with various teachers including the renowned bansuri master Pt Hariprasad Chaurasia.
Since then he has become an accomplished teacher himself with a knowledge of Indian Music Raga that can astonish even senior indian musicians; and has played and recorded with some of the top indian classical musicians of our time including Anindo Chatterjee on Tabla.
He teaches, performs and travels extensively world wide and is also apart of regular Indian Music retreats.
His vocation is to bring the beauty and expansion of Indian classical music to parts of the world that have yet to hear it, joining individuals and nations as one.

Shivam Rath began training Indian classical music in Varanasi, India with tabla master Pt Chhote Lal Misra, alongside Indian slide guitarist Dr Shibbanath Bhattacharya from 2010 ~ 2013 before his tabla teacher passed away and he shifted from Varanasi to Kolkata in order to perform more extensively on the Indian slide guitar with world renowned guitarist Pt Debashish Bhattacharya.
Shivam has adopted the traditional Veena method of using a crystal ball as his slide and aims for crystal clear clarity in tone and Meend (glide). He has travelled extensively around India and the world, studying and sharing his practices and performance as a yogic discipline.
