The Songs of Ray Charles & Betty Carter in Melbourne, 20th July 2017
Well this is something special. The double cream of Melbourne’s jazz scene Hue Blanes and Songstress Olivia Chindamo will reimagine the the 1961 cult album release ‘Betty Carter and Ray Charles‘.
Hue and Olivia along with Tamara Murphy and Danny Fischer will play this album live in its entirety – turning their backs on the songs turning them upside down and shaking out all the cutlery from their pockets in the best way possible.
Featuring hit songs that were hits like 50 years ago so not neccesarily now but still hits like ‘Baby it’s cold outside’ and ‘People will say we’re in Love’.
OLIVIA CHINDAMO – voice
TAMARA MURPHY – bass
DANNY FISCHER – drums
