Two Indians Killed in Turkey’s Night Club Massacre

A massive manhunt has been launched by the Turkish police, they are looking for the gunman that has killed 39 people that were celebrating New Years Eve at the Reina night club. Among these victims were 15 foreigners, two Lebanese and five Saudi nationals.

These Heinous killings took place in A Turkish nightclub, many of the people that were killed were in the nightclub were there celebrating the New Year. Among the 39 killed were two Indian nationals, there deaths have been confirmed by India’s Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj, one of the Indian national that was killed was Abis Rizvi, son of a former MP Akhtar Hasan Rizvi  and the other person was Khushi Shah.

Reina night club is one of the most prestigious nightclubs in Istanbul, the horrific attack happened when a gunman started firing at the 700 nightclub guests. It has been reported that the gunman fired hundreds of rounds of fire that lasted a duration of seven minutes. To escape this horrendous attack, many of the nightclub guests decided to jump into the icy cold freezing water of Bosphorus to hopefully escape the multitude of firing bullets.

During this horrific ordeal a witness spoke of the extreme panic and carnage that happened during the shooting, professional footballer Sefa Boydas mentioned that just as they were settling down to enjoy the evening, there was dust and smoke billowing near the front door of the club. Witnesses recalled the horror of seeing people walking over the top of the deceased bodies.

The Turkish minister Binali Yildirim stated that the crazed gunman was still at large after escaping from the nightclub attack, he has since denied that the gunman was wearing a Santa Claus costume that was previously reported in the news. The Turkish minister said that the assailant had left the gun behind and then fled the scene of the accident.

According to the Turkish Interior Minister, Suleyman Soylu the gunman arrived with weapon which was concealed underneath an overcoat, then left the nightclub wearing a different garment.
