Ramesh belongs to the student lineage of Sangita Kalaanidhi Mudikondan Sri Venkatarama Iyer. He has been performing for more than two decades and has the distinction of being a member of the Vaadhyalahari Instrumental Ensemble of the doyen of Carnatic Violin Sangitha Kalaanidhi (Elect) A. Kanyakumari.
