We Work This Shop is a free weekly poetry and spoken word workshop hosted by Melbourne Spoken Word. It’s a space open to anyone to bring a piece for feedback and workshopping in a safe and constructive environment.

We begin each session with a free write and then each participant is able to share a poem for feedback from the rest of the group.

The aim is to create a space for feedback and criticism for people who want to edit and polish their spoken word.

The workshop is free, but we do ask for a small donation for those able to to cover room costs.

It’s on once a week except when there’s a gig hosted by MSW, or on the first Sunday of the month because we all go to The Owl and Cat Readings.
