Dr Mohammad Shahid

Dr Mohammad Shahid completed his studies at the University of Punjab, Pakistan in 1983 and spent some years working in the hospital system before relocating to South Africa in 1992. In South Africa, he gained a great variety of experience working in various hospital out-patient and emergency departments, in particular working with ophthalmology patients. In 2003 Mohammad moved to Australia where he initially worked in hospitals in the Newcastle area before moving to Shellharbour region in 2006 where he started practicing as a GP. He has been with the Dapto Medical Centre since 2013 and enjoys all aspects of his role in general medicine but has a special interest in mental health. In his own time, Mohammad loves being active with walking, and exercising. He enjoys spending time with his family and is a keen gardener.
